Wasps!
There's a nest of the little sods in the garden.
The last one got a gallon of petrol over it and the problem was solved. However, this one is in a bird nesting box thing against the fence, which means the usual firepower solution isn't going to work. So; where can you buy something to knock these things out for long enough to get the nest box off the fence and get some petrol onto it? |

Re: Wasps!
Smoke a couple of hamlets. Helps if you have an outside privvy to smoke them in........

Re: Wasps!
Last time I simply used a garden sprayer and a gallon of petrol and old engine oil. burning rag next to the nest. Pump sprayer up... go nuts. By the time it went "WHUMPH" they had started to come out of nest wondering why it was raining napalm, but they all frazzled.
HOWEVER. This nest is on a wooden fence which I can't burn or blast to pieces! |
Re: Wasps!
Smoke, just start up a curvy next to it ;)
Can't you shoot the nest down, then burn it? Don't you get into trouble for killing wasps from MYC? :) |
Re: Wasps!
Wasps kill off lots of other nasties in your garden like mosquitos etc
They also provide food for the Honey Buzzard* So if they're not bothering you then leave them... bee :smt043 *anyone else find themselves watching "springwatch" earlier this week? |
Re: Wasps!
Just put petrol in a watering can, pour it over and throw in a match. Let them burn!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Wasps!
Read the thread, I can't burn it in situ.
The nest is right next to patio thing where all sorts of important business is conducted. Namely sat about drinking when the weather is pleasant! |
