Problem with bike i think, but I'm not giving away what it is.
hgey peeps,
Went out on bike over snake pass the other day did about 90 miles and got home turned bike off went in house to get changed before going to girlfriends. I must have been about 30 mins and when i came to start the bikethere was a buzzing noise so thought battery must be flat, but i had just been for a ride. Stripped back of bike and while battery was charging i checked to make sur ethe rectiier was working and it seemed to be and also took it to a garge the next day and he said that it was also working and that the battery was charging at what he considered a good rate , 13.8 i believe he said. He said that it could be alarm/immobilizer thats draining battery but it shouldnt be should it as i use it everyday rain or shine, its a Datatool veto evo system i have on it. The only other thing i can think of is that it may be the alternator but since charging it i have run it for the last5 days. I plug my battery charger in again and it had lost charge and was in need of charging. Could it also be a ****ty battery although the place where i bought it from about 4 months ago had put a new one in they said. Anyone got any ideas??? |

If it was after a ride on the Snake Pass check it's not on fire ;)

Sounds like the problem is the nut between the bars and seat.

Poor earth connection, Loose or damaged battery leads/connectors. An alarm is not going to drain a good battery in 30 mins. |

Could be adodgy battery. Also once a battery has been fully discharged, sometimes it kills them, sometimes not.
