Lancaster Bomber
Following on from the Vulcan Bomber thread:
Well was in the garden today enjoying a BBQ with my Dad, Mum and Sister when we heard a odd engine sound in the distance closing fast. All of a sudden over next doors tall hedge appeared the only flying Lancaster Bomber in the UK. Flying super low maybe 100ft!!! Felt like I could almost see the pilots faces What a sight!!! My Dad having served and is still serving nearly 35 years in the RAF was over the moon. Tried to convince him we had it planned especially for fathers days but alas he ain't that senile...yet :) Anyone else get buzzed? |
Re: Lancaster Bomber

You must produce a full motorcycle licence if you wish to have a test ride. The event will include a Lancaster bomber taxi-run display. If you like Rolls Royce V12 Merlin engines at full chat and red-blooded V-twin motorcycles, you'll really appreciate this event! Re: Lancaster Bomber
another lovely aircraft to grace our skies, just a shame the vulcan and other veteran aircraft couldn't get the same support from the raf.

Re: Lancaster Bomber
Yeh it was impressive to see that fly over at the Bike Show yesterday. Nothing to do with the bike show but since RAF Hendon is just round the corner and they had a big old thing on too we got to watch it fly about for free :)

Re: Lancaster Bomber
last year I just happened to be a Madingly War Cemetary when it flew over, it was a very moving moment.
