chain and sprockets questions - Curvy S

Hi all

Two questions:

One: I'm going down a tooth on the front to give me 14 front and 44 rear. How many links do I need? standard is, I believe, 108. Should I stick with this and cut one out if I need to?

two: What tool do I need from this page?:
http://www.bandcexpress.co.uk/cgi-bi...t=CH-ACC-TOOLS
will the £58.89 Whale brand rivetting tool (3 down on the left) do the trick on a Tsubaki chain?

Cheers

1) like you say I'd buy the 108 chain and remove a link if required
2) yeah I'd say so prt no CBT480-RVT, the sv standard size chain is a 525 so that'd do it. But if you need to break a link there's also the rivetter and breaker tool a few along for a bit more moolah. There are other ways though.
