Motorcyle press are wrong... module one is NOT dangerous!

I completed my module one test today. You all know how it works: slow control, figure of 8, swerve, controlled stop, U-turn, manual handling etc.
It lasts around 10 minutes and you're allowed 5 minors which you can get for forgetting observations (imagining you're on a public highway) and for positioning in the cones.

The diagram for the swerve test looks a lot more harsh than it really is. When you do it, its not much different from avoiding a pot hole.

There have been a few stories about people breaking their arms on the test, but i can honestly say these people must have not been trained properly. My instructor aggrees, and apararntly some schools just show the dvd and throw them in at the deep end.

Once again MCN is wrong. Anyone who is worried about sitting this test really shouldnt be, and it was a lot easier than i thought it would be.

My module two is booked for the 8th of july, and it will hopefully go as well as module one!

Looking at the weather reports for the last week, he probably didnt do it in the rain.

However he DID do tons of miles on the road post CBT, including leading a .org rideout AND a trip into central London at rush hour on a Friday night.

So was well prepared.

So good on you Magnum, well done.

Cangrats on passing your test. Well done mate. It does seem like you were very well prepared. However what is easy for you is seeming to be very difficult for others. GUys who have not had the benafit of your experience will and do find it difficult.

Best of luck for the next stage.

Dave
