quick one about injury claims

just a quick one, had an offer today from insurance for my injury. i had ligament damage to my right knee shin and ankle, was on crutches for 2 weeks and off for 8 weeks with my injury.. just wondering if £2000 is about the right amount??

any help would be appreciated, just as a rough figure?? should i acept? or ask for more??

Ah good point, might have been the whole claim that but he got a saxo VTR sorted out after not long so I'm not sure, I'll ask him monday and tell you when I find out.

with a deadly serious face demand at least half a million, then quickly take a picture of the look of their face. should be priceless :smt103

but being serious no harm in trying to get abit more.

I was offered £9k for my accident but settled for >£20k. Took another two years of negotiating and scans and medicals. Give it a wee while to see how much you recover, what lasting damage there is.

Or grab the cash and have a party!

Take it the £2k is just for the pain & suffering? Difficult to put a figure on without knowing how long you suffered in total. Have you made a full recovery? How long did it take to reach full recovery? Did you sufffer after the initial 8wks off & to what extent? Are there any continuing symptoms & when did the medic expect these to clear up?

From the basics youve said, £2k does appear a little low, but not too far out. Recon you may be able to push for £2,500-£3,000 at a max. PM me some more details re. your recovery & I'll let you have some more accurate info.

Take it youve got a solicitor on board? Has he given you any advice?
