Triumph spares in London?
 

Bit of a long shot, but is there anywhere else apart from Metropolis to get Triumph spares?

A guy has just come in my shop with a snapped clutch lever (someone ran into the road in front of him and he clipped them and dropped the bike). The problem is this guy has to get all the way to Stoke-on-Trent to get home.

Anyway, he's given up waiting for the parts guy to call back to say if they have a lever, and has headed off to Vauxhall to find out. But, in case he gets back with no lever, I thought I'd try to find out if there in somewhere else that stocks parts for a Bonny T100.

Jack Lilley's out by ashford is usually good for triumph parts.

I just had a call from Metropolis saying that they had the lever, now the guy has got to get all the way back here (by tube) and wait for the breakdown guy to come out to fix it.

Good grief.....that poor bloke was stuck with just my usual babbling to keep him company all day :D

We finally got a repairer out to him (cos he didn't have any tools with him, and nor did I, but it may not have helped much anyway) at about 6.30.

The funny thing is, the guy who broke down comes into London for work every now and then, and last time he did the trip, his workmates came down in a van, and he came by bike, then teased them about how much faster it was to do the journey on two wheels (you just know how much they are going to their own back after his impromptu 7 hour rest stop :D ).

The guy who came out is a friend of Jim's (from The Cavalry) and does a bit of roadside repairing (bikes and cars, and even lorries), but is also a recovery guy. He is on call virtually round the clock (unlike Jim who is daytime only), so I said I'd post his number on here in case anyone ever needs their bike recovered/repaired.
