Urgent calipers needed>
 

URGENT Calipers NEEDED!

Front left and Rear or all 3 tbh I just need them fast!!!

Started to change the pads today only to discover that the sliding bolts which hold the pads into the calipers have rusted closed. No amount of pulling spraying yanking and shouting has managed to free them up. Instead I've quite possibly ****ed the rear caliper bolt which connects the hose to the caliper and popped the piston seals out of the front right caliper.

ABSOLUTE DISASTER OF A DAY IT WAS ONLY MEANT TO BE A 45MIN JOB!

MOT expires 19th of this month as does insurance so I need these calipers yesterday. ANYONE SELLING OR KNOW OF ANYONE WHO I can contact litereally right now to sort out payment and postage.

did you apply a good bit of heat? try soaking the calipers overnight in a thin penatrent oil?

It took my dad 2 hours to get my retaining pins out of my rear caliper

My rear one was like this mate, I drilled through the outer case with a drill bit smaller than the pin then used a nail and bloody big hammer took some effort but freed up eventually!

tried similar to the above, I've ran out of ideas now I even soaked them in brake fluid to try and eat its way through the crap... no such luck.

If its any help, mail them over to me and I'll get the pins out for you and mail them back.

Unless you fancy a drive over.

I'm here too, a little closer. I have some small spares but not entire caliper.

I've bought some more calipers just for the quick fix, once I've swapped them I may try a few things to free them up and keep as either spares or to sell on.
YC if you have some of the pins I may buy those off you unless your wanting to keep them an thanks for the customer support helpline on Saturday :)

Although, I've only got the front calipers Im still in need of a rear one if anybody has a spare or even just the pins for it and I'll drill the currernt ones out.

I don't have any pins, but I bet you 14p I can get yours out...
