Thank you Mercury Couriers!
Was on a little ride with some folks from here yesterday, doing "slightly over" 30 in a 30 limit when a man in a yellow bib points a hairdryer at me. Slowed down slightly, but possibly not enough (would have been a borderline case of pull or not) when a knight in shining Mercury Couriers armour shot past and distracted him.
Thanks mate, saved me some points and a fine! :smt084 |
Re: Thank you Mercury Couriers!
LOL. It was definately better seeing one lone stranger being pulled rather than about 9 friends out for a sociable day out.

Re: Thank you Mercury Couriers!
There's probably some Mercury Courrier posting up on another forum saying "bleedin' ursidae-type didn't block my view from bloke in yellow bib when I was doing 'slightly over' slightly over 30 in a 30 limit on Sunday"...

Re: Thank you Mercury Couriers!
And thank you to the enormous downpour which caused me to pull in to the lay-by on a dual carriageway. The same lay-by containing a copper with a hairdryer pointing at me.
If I'd not slowed down to pull in to put my waterproofs on then, well... :smt089 He just looked at me in a kind of disappointed way, got into his ve-hickle, and drove off. |

Theres probably a thread on a cop forum with the two cops comparing notes... |
Re: Thank you Mercury Couriers!
I think luck was definately with us yesterday.
I was just slowly working out that we were slowing down because some nice gentleman in yellow was pointing at us when out of the blue the courier streaked past on the outside of all of us! As the cop waved him in I liked how he simultaneously picked up his file of booking forms for courier man and graciously waved us past! And well done caza for disappointing his friend in the layby. Sometimes rain is a good thing. |
