Birthday Present ideas - for a mother
 

Hi Guys,

I've been a bit distracted with other stuff and it's my mother's b'day in 2 days.

I haven't yet got her anything and I can't think of anything original to get her.

So, give me some ideas!

As I live nowhere near her, it'll have to be something online (i.e. Amazon). And not flowers or chocoloates or wine - as I normally buy those for mother's day!

So please help!

She's gonig to be 62 (I can say that on here as she'll never look!) and she's quite active - i.e. hobbies such as skiing & golf, and she's popping over to India for a holiday soon.

How about a nintendo DS my mum loves hers i just had to buy a replacement as she has worn the screen out on her first one we bought her.

Is that the one where she spends all the time shouting at the screen, normally during the middle of a really good action movie?

What about sending a card with some rupees in it or whatever the currency is in India now? tell her to buy herself something really nice on her hols?

for my mums birthday I got her lunch on a steam train - couldnt afford the Orient Express.

Great idea - wish I had more time to do that...next year though!


In the end I've gone with a travel guide to india, a crime thriller for the flight & some golf balls for the rest of her summer holiday....not v.original but all available on amazon!

Dammit. Too late. I was going to suggest some suggestive underwear, but you've got a present now so i'll keep that thought to myself.
