Am I thinking of a different just similarly named place or is this infact Tintern Abbey? just north of Bristol into Wales up the A49?
Looks ace even if its a different place, hope you had good weather for it. Often wanted to stop at Tintern but never had the chance.

Nah not the same one unfortunately, I'm in the Cheshire one. I've passed Tintern an inordinate amount of times given where I live. Not entirely sure why but I guess it's a nice road up.

Found a google maps link: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&so...8869,-2.676791

seems to be the place, anyway, sorry for the pedantry. Back to the topic, nice pics :-) Thanks for sharing. Is there an admission charge to mooch around the ruins do you know? Always gets me that the place on the way to the horseshoe pass charges to look around an open air structure hehe.
