Twin Headlamp / Fairing customisations

Hi there,

I have a cracking SV650S curvy in black with all the extras imaginable. I bought it from a really nice chap at Hein Gericke and he had added hugger, tail tidy, aftermarket pegs, brake levers, carbon front mudguard/side panels, Acropovic exhaust K&N air filter, etc etc.

Bike looks fab and I have had Hyperpro springs fitted and had her in to JHS Racing for tuning and she runs a treat.

She is the fully faired one but the only thing I am not so keen on is the front end. The backend looks like a mean cafe racer and is gorgeous, whereas in my opinion the front fairing esp light cluster doesnt look 'butch' enough if that makes sense. Its like seeing a gorgeous woman bending over and then she turns round and suddenly you arent quite as attracted! (Or, in the interests of female bikers, if a man bends over...).

Anyway, I like the old school look of the older Honda CBRs with twin side by side headlights. Does anyone know if there are any aftermarket kits to do this, or are we talking a DIY build for such an item?

Cheers! :smt023

DIY build, bodge on some other fairing I suppose.

The thing that gets me about the curvy S fairing is it's like a blob, with these spindly little fork legs sticking out somewhere underneath it. Put some GSXR forks on it and it fill out the whole look of the bike because the front is so much meatier.

Do what I'm doing, crash it then have to trim everything down with a dremel...

Is it mounted to the forks/yoke or to the frame? Did you ever do a thread for it?

It's mounted to the frame and yes there should be a thread here somewhere. You could also check the US sites svrider.com or socalsvriders.org and do a search there. If you get hold of a Firebolt front and want help give me a shout.

Hey is it nice riding in Ireland at this time. Never been to your island yet.
