Oooooooonnnnnnngoing front end rebuild...
It all started the fork seals looking a bit dodgy...so I took the forks apart. Well then perhaps I thought I should put some tapered roller bearing in as I've got it apart.
Then I might as well get the bottom yoke and fairing bracket powder coated - they looked a bit rusty. Some good work from triple-s: http://www.luisamark.com/images/bike/DSCF0041_sm.jpg Got some gold valves from charlie on here. Decided to have a go at some fork polishing. One fork done, tried hard to get all the cast marks out: http://www.luisamark.com/images/bike/DSCF0040_sm.jpg Saw a polished top yoke on ebay and decided to have a go: http://www.luisamark.com/images/bike/DSCF0036_sm.jpg Final polish still to go with this. I found out polishing is pretty hard work and very messy. Anyway, as I don't have much time to spend doing all this I've missed all the good weather - hopefully will get it all back together before the summer goes. |
