Next Rideout... SUNDAY 9th August

Am in the mood for more riding.

One option is for Luckypants to try and arrange the run he was discussing with us re. Devils Bridge, Wales or would someone maybe like to look at sorting out a run for the weekend after next around Buxton way??

I know that most of us on the run yesterday would come along but it might be nice for a change to visit part of England? What does anyone think :smt017

Peak District - 50 limits, endless boring villages, and dry stone walls. Hmmm. There's always Shroppie:cool: especially the south and down towards Rhayader:cool::cool:

We were up in the Peaks at the weekend. Avoid the Cat and Fiddle and ride some of the lesser known roads and you'll have a great time. I don't know what all the fuss is about the C&F anyway, it's a nothing road.

It's a bit like the 'I'm not going to Wales cos of the Talivan'. Pick your route carefully and you'll have no problems. :D

I wouldn't like to do over 50 mph on some of the roads round the Peak District any how, so can't see the problem myself.
National speed limit is only 10mph faster, or am I just being a bit stupid? People used to like the Cat because when it was a 60 limit, it was a good place to learn how to corner at speed (& in some cases lose your life). I certainly wont knock the road, it beats the **** out of doing warp factor 3 on a straight any day of the week.
