Spark plug question
This is probably obvious, but I have to order from abroad and so I don't want to screw up the order..
Is a spark plug number specific i.e NGK CR10EIX (numbers) is a motorcycle plug or can you get a car plug that is an NGK CR10EIX (numbers) also but with a different set of numbers in brackets afterwards? Reason I ask, is I need to get some new plugs for my Daytona and I need NGK CR10EIX. People on 675.net were going on about how hard these plugs are to get hold of, yet I can find them listed everywhere! I also find them only listed in ebay stores etc selling car parts which is why I'm wondering if they are the right thing? I asked the seller and got the most ambigious reply ever! Thanks Luke |
Re: Spark plug question
They'd be the same.
In NGK speak C is the shell size, R means resistor, (interference suppression), the number 10 refers to the heat range, (and 10 is pretty cold, from this one can deduce it's a high performance motor), E is the thread length, and IX refers to the centre electrode type. Numbers after that refer to the factory set electrode gap in tenths of a millimetre - so 8 would mean 0.8mm. |
Re: Spark plug question
