Doing alright.

Hello you horrible lot,

I thought I'd update you all with some good news. I started an apprenticeship today in precision engineering  Its a four year thing, so I'll be well old by the time I finish it, but it took me a long time to decide what I want to do and then to eventually get into it...
Also I'm about to join seggons on the dark side- I passed my car test a few weeks a go, so I'll be getting a car sometime in September (Probably an Astra) :) Izi is going to uni in Liverpool, and work is about 15 miles away, so I decided a car makes a lot more sense than a bike for those things. I don't fancy Cambridge to Liverpool on the bike... Hopefully I'll get out on the bike more once she's gone away, as I'll have a bit more time to myself ;)

How are you all?

Re: Doing alright.

I have to say getting a car is one of my more smarter moves I've made. After just 7 days of not using the bike I had one of the best local bimbles for a long time. My bike also feels like a rocket after driving a car that has no power what so ever. I also may of got carried away with the downpipe of the bike last weekend knowing that it will stay clean. :D

Anyway it's great that things are going well for you and Izi and congrats on passing the test. :)

Congrats mate - on both the cage test and the apprenticeship :D

We need an EAR rideout before the summer disappears so we can all catch up - plus I am itching to put miles on the 'thou :D:D:D

Well done. Will this mean we'll have someone in our region that can make some nice machined parts :D

Agree with Skip, we need a EAR rideout before the weather turns carp :(

I missed you at the AR maviczap :( Sorry about that.

I heard on the grapevine that it was Mikes turn ;)

K (our esteemed moderator) hasn't been around for months (last activity on 30/5/09) so I have sent her a PM to see if she is ok and if she can remove our ancient rideout sticky at the top in readiness for the new one :)

As I was only there for the rideout and had marking duties it wasnt easy to see everyone - so no I didnt!

Must try harder next time!

Congratulations Sean :smt041

Boy, have you had a hard time of it, and it's not too easy now but getting better eh? :)

Shame that Izi will be so far away but her loss could well be our gain.

Think there should perhaps be a seperate thread but I think we need a new mod in this section.
