Standard Chain
Says in the manual to replace the chain with a DID 525V8 108 links. Where do you buy them online?

Re: Standard Chain
They have 525 V but not 525 V8. Does that matter?

Re: Standard Chain
No. The 525V is a suitable replacement for the OEM chain.

Re: Standard Chain
Or buy the OEM set from Robinsons. Not too expensive as it includes the sprockets as well. Only problem is that it is supplied as an endless chain so you have to drop out the swingarm or break it and re-rivet it. Think a new link is also included in the package.

Re: Standard Chain
The sprockets don't really need changed. They were changed along with the chain just recently but the chain hasn't lasted any time at all :(

Re: Standard Chain
Just looked at the bank statement to see when I paid and it wasn't as recent as I thought. It was the beginning of April.
What make is the genuine suzuki one? |
Re: Standard Chain
visual inspection on the front sprocket might be an idea if your really skint but it is good practise to change them together. Not a clue they are just steel with no branding on IIRC. You can get DID 525 chains with steel sprockets for about £70 the kit on the net
