Solution to leave safely jacket on the bike?
Hi, everyone :D
I just started University and as some of You know, classes are huge but seats small and no space for any staff, like motorbike jacket or bigger bag...:toss: I think about leaving my motorbike jacket on the bike:), but it has to be wisely done and jacket has to be good secured...(bike is parked under the roof...I have top box(40l) but I leave there my helmet) I found smth like: steel wire cargo net <---link) What do u think about it? And do You have any other ideas?? Thanks for any advice  |
Re: A solution to leave safely jacket on the bike?
over kill if you ask me, a simple bike cable lock will do (£5-10), do up the jacket and pass it through the sleeves and lock to the bike on the seat or something, make sure the lock is visible, like all security if someone wants it enough nothing will stop them, but a visible lock will put of the opportunist.
Cheers Mark. |

Why don't you attach the helmet on the under-seat helmet holder, then put your jacket in the top box?

Re: A solution to leave safely jacket on the bike?
We use a long cable lock (about 10 feet) to secure all out stuff to the bike.
I use 1 piece leathers but Jenn has a 2 piece. When we go out she will bung a skirt etc in a bag and get changed when we arrive. I loop the lock through itself round one of the wheels. The lock goes through the leg and sleeve of her leathers and through the chins of our lids too. All the kit sits up on the seat out of harms way but clearly locked to the bike. |

Still gets damp and orrible unless you can park indoors.
Have an ask around, most of the dept.s at my uni have some lockers around somewhere. |
Re: A solution to leave safely jacket on the bike?
Get another top box and mount it to a spare rear seat. OK 2 top boxes will look strange but it's only college. Jacket, and anything else that will fit will be secure and dry. job done.
