Semi is fine, use good quality stuff. Full synthetic wont harm but it might be overkill. As long as is conforms to the JASO standards it wont do anthing silly to your clutch. Don't use car engine oils, they may well do soemthing silly to your clutch.

Somewhat applicable, but please remember that motorcycle engine oil is designed to do three jobs (engine, gearbox, clutch) whilst car engine oil is designed primarily to do one job - lubricate / cool / clean the engine.

I like the cautionary section of that article about engine flushes, saying you only need use them if you are silly enough to put in shampoo :lol:

Quite plain and simple what Squid says, and with that in mind, Hein Gericke own brand 10w40. £14 for 4 litres, and i believe its on special at the moment for £10.50.

If you're not near a HG Halfords do a semi synth 10w 40 which meets the specs required for just under £20 for 5 litres.

I couldn't agree more.
There are many pieces written all over the internet that contain too much conflicting opinion, much of which is inapplicable to this circumstance.
