A bloke around the corner from me has one he is thinking of selling. I dont know much about them except they have the TL1000 lump. Is the bike any good and worth a look?

They're great bikes - I had one. Definatelt worth a look anyways They handle and go really well  One thing to look out for is the back brake - they are notoriously rubbish and the discs can crack on them. Let us know how you get on :D

That's a shame you couldn't test ride it :( They really are fun bikes to ride. I'd say it was the most fun bike I've had. Still remember my test ride before I bought mine - had a grin a mile wide :smt080

Had a go on a V raptor when they were introduced (our training school was based in a Cagiva Dealer). I was smitten, but have never been able to afford one. They seem to handle well, they have lots of grunt, but dont know what the Italian quality will be like.

I never took a pillion or went on the back of it myself, so I wouldn't know. Mine came with a rear grab rail already so I don't know that either :p Not much use am I? Try the raptorchapter website - they might be able to point you in the right direction for one.

Mister C - I drove the local cagiva dealer mad by always drooling over them and never being able to afford one at the time ;) Then one came up at the right time and it was bye-bye SV and didn't regret it one bit.

TL lump with wonderful handling.
MMMM I can seee it calling me in the shed again :-)...I have the spare key....mwahahahah, but alas can't find the spare disc lock one!

Andy...the pillion seat is like a plank of wood, very uncomfortable. However, I think if Matt had been less of a stingy bugger and had a gel pad put in the rear at the same time as the pilot, then it would be perfect.
When you bought them new you got a choice of extra seat cowl or grabrail, Matts had the grabrail.
