right now - be warned it came from a DHL spam , what to do?...the warnings are all over the place and wont go away...its directing me to Microsoft antspyware, cost $49 for one yr, $69 for 2 and $89 for life ! FFS !

Must be a better way .....

Its malware, its a clever way to con you out of money and your credit card details.

If you follow the advice that Spidey gives above you may get rid of it, but I suspect based on previous experience you might be in for some fun and games.

If you get any issues with running them pete, once installed try restarting your machine and running those programmes in "safe mode", sometimes that makes it easier.

Like a complete wipe of your machine and start again...

I got one on my machine that I could just not get rid of, my own stupid stupid fault.

After 3 hrs of hacking away at the OS I got rid of most of it but there was just one bit that I couldnt shift, I gave up and just wiped windows and reinstalled it all again.

I suspect you might find that adware wont get rid of what you have got, the spybot seems to be much more thorough though so thats what I'd try first. Failing that I've used spyware dr before quite successfully in the past to.

I use AVG, now in it's 9th edition. Tis a free anti-virus/spay ware tool.

really as if ....i was going thru my spam trap, as plenty of mails for the website get directed there....i see one from DHL saying they couldnt deliver and click on the attchment for details....click...oh feck, why has the pc just started to close windows ??????:mad:...last time i never got it to boot up again, twas the end...so PANIC set in....but, as isay, all is not lsot...yet....course my Firewall antispy failed, prob cos i havent paid tyhe £10 CA have been asking for.....:rolleyes:

Windows own free and built in firewall is good enough mate, i think its called windows defender or something.

AVG i used for a couple of years till i ran another free one against it and the other found loads of stuff AVG had missed or ignored.

The new free one was Antivir but recently i changed to Avast, again free. I only changed from Avtivir cos it was failing its daily updates for a while but its a great free product mate.

Install and run them one at a time tho, dont try and run them all at the same time as that will crash your comp or at least make it so slow you will wish it had crashed.

I got one of these emails as well,
Says it's from DHL, gives you a tracking number (no link to a tracking site). If you go to the DHL web site the number won't be recognised.

There's also an attachment... luckily I didn't open it.
