SV650.org - SV650 & Gladius 650 Forum - Honda Shadow VT125 £450

For sale is me Dads Honda Shadow VT125.

The bike is sold as a non runner, project bike. But fear not there isn't much work needed.

A Brief history if you will. Bought by me Dad back in 2000 new from MotorCycle City he's been the only owner. Used to commute across Bristol for some 11,000 miles before the parents relocated to the warmer climbs of Weston-Super-Mud whereby he found the train a better commute. He's now retired and has no use for it, thus it has been languishing on the driveway for the past 2 years. So its time for it to go.

It has no tax or MOT and is declared as SORN so collection by van from Weston-Super-Mare only, but it does have a full service history and all the past MOT's and handbooks etc are present. I've taken a look at it and would think to get the bike back working it will need a new battery, fresh fuel, a bit of carb cleaner running through, and a front brake bleed. But expect things like fork seals and tyres may need doing shortly due to the age and lack of use.

Overall the bike would be ideal as a winter commuter or for a first time rider. The bike has had a slight drop but all the vital bits were replaced with OEM Honda, though some marks remain on the front mud guard and the exhaust. I have only ridden the bike once so its not been abused, a definite plus there. There is a good covering of genuine Honda rust on the surface of most of the chrome and any spiders and cobwebs on the bike at the time of sale will be included in the final price.
