Scottoiler install, how easy?

I'm posting this here cos most of you who know me know i skilled i am at mechanical type things and some of you have scottoilers too.

Mine arrived today, yes i finally got with the programme on this, so...

Who installed their own?

Was it on a pointy?

How easy was it?

Worth me bringing it to Soho this friday and getting you guys to help me or can i do it myself if i take my time?

I looked at the instructions briefly but pah, no man needs instructions. We just do.

Hi Spidey,
I've never installed one - but if you fancied popping up to mine this weekend, I'm in the process of removing the one that came fitted to my K8 - you can have a look at it all before I tear it off the bike!
Looks pretty straight forward though

Hardest bit was finding somewhere to stick the resevoir thing.

Mine is attached by those plastic garden strip thingies to the framework at about knee height - or it was until I had to send it back. I will get around to putting it back on... eventually.

I don't have room, what with the nail file, hair brush and lip gloss.

Very easy, took me about 2 hours but could do another in less than half that no problems. I spent about an hour (being stupid) trying to get the rubber bung off the nipple with my fingers... I couldn't so gave up and got the pliers on it, it came off in 10 seconds!!

The next hour was spent routing the cables, now I know the best place (in my opinion) to put them I could do another in 10 minutes, but kept routing them then thinking "ooh no how about here, ooh yeah that looks tidier, no-one's going to see it but I'd rather it went that way round". Haha.

Oh and my reservoir is under the pillion seat held in by a single cable tie and sits out the way and in a decent position - can take a photo of where if you like.
