Re: Scottoiler install, how easy?
Hi Spidey,
I've never installed one - but if you fancied popping up to mine this weekend, I'm in the process of removing the one that came fitted to my K8 - you can have a look at it all before I tear it off the bike! Looks pretty straight forward though D |

Re: Scottoiler install, how easy?
Mine is attached by those plastic garden strip thingies to the framework at about knee height - or it was until I had to send it back. I will get around to putting it back on... eventually.

Re: Scottoiler install, how easy?
I don't have room, what with the nail file, hair brush and lip gloss.

Re: Scottoiler install, how easy?
Very easy, took me about 2 hours but could do another in less than half that no problems. I spent about an hour (being stupid) trying to get the rubber bung off the nipple with my fingers... I couldn't so gave up and got the pliers on it, it came off in 10 seconds!!
The next hour was spent routing the cables, now I know the best place (in my opinion) to put them I could do another in 10 minutes, but kept routing them then thinking "ooh no how about here, ooh yeah that looks tidier, no-one's going to see it but I'd rather it went that way round". Haha. Oh and my reservoir is under the pillion seat held in by a single cable tie and sits out the way and in a decent position - can take a photo of where if you like. |
