base setting zx6 shock

Probably going to get a chance to throw the zx6 shock onto the sv at the weekend. Just wondering what would be the best base point to work from with regards settings. Im 11 stone by the way :D

Set the damping adjusters in the middle to start. Important thing is to set sag right.

Cool. Should be about an inch from upright to upright with full rider weight right or would it be different with an aftermarket shock?

5- 10mm static, 30 -40mm with rider, give or take, so they say... go get the Manual for the base setting, you'll need to get it tweaked any road.

yeah, that too

The zx10 shock length and spring rate thingy are same as curvy stock shock (on paper anyway) so hoping it'll be a good enough start :D

Even though the shock ls the same length on paper, the back end will be a little lower than with the stock shock
