Oops

Just had a week off of work to get some rest prior to Christmas rush (damn retail) and spent a lot of time on my training bike rushing about and just getting confident, learning where I am going. I love riding motorbikes. :p

I even popped into the local Bike show room because I have been thinking about a 250 for when I pass my test, something I can use for the trip to work and something I can blast up green lanes and over rocks like I used to do with my mountain bike. The guy in the show room insisted that I needed a 600 for when I pass my test and tried to sell me a XJ600, I tried to point out that I already had an SV650, but I do not think he was to be swayed. Still the XJ did feel very comfortable, but it looked a bit fragile to be getting covered in mud and filth and for dropping on rocks! :smt108

Anyway, spent all week having fun, fitted my bolt kit to the SV which now looks lovely, although I still have some small ones to fit to switch gear and the like. The Little CG125 was tucked up with his teddy and put away to bed ready for work this morning. :)

First day back at work and running a few minutes late due to bad nights sleep and I wander out to the garage. Pull out Henry and get ready to go to work. :(

Key in the ignition, ignition light flickers and dims as usual. Kick start arm folded out and kick. Engine coughs and fails to start first which is very unusual since his rebuild a few weeks ago, if anything he has been running better since the new clutch and work we did on him.

So I flick the choke and kick again. :smt087

Get off bike and phone Carol who is still tucked up in bed and ask her to drive me to work. :driving:

Henry has broken again. :smt108

The kick start arm is laying on the road, two or three feet away from the rest of the engine... ](*,)

Damn, where do I buy a new kick start arm for a CG125? :smt012

Oh well, I guess he wanted a lie in too. :bigsmurf:

Yep we got most of our parts for rebuilding my ancient 125 from there, good place :-) Best thing about CGs? Sooooo cheap when replacing parts!

Hope Henry feels better soon Jayne :-P

My friend Janice says it is because I don't know how to treat a man! :smt084

I miss him though, I love him nearly as much as I love my Cat. :smt009

Thanks for the link folks, gonna get him fixed soon. 8-[

You can buy pattern CG125 kickstarts because the originals are prone to snapping and expensive to replace. The apttern ones are much cheaper and I'm sure Wemoto sell them.

Eek... Forty quid for an original... er I am not sure the bike is worth that much. Thanks for the link though. :D

 Damn, found out.

Years of climbing and Mountain Biking gave me legs of steel that can kick in locked doors and race up Ice cliffs on just my front points. I am a hooligan though, that is why I bought the SV! 8-[

Just ordered my new Kick start, hopefully that will be here in a few days so I can get out and play again. Glad it broke in the garage and not while out shopping. :smt105 It was so loaded up last week I hardly had any room for the shoes.

Cheers Spidey, :smurfin:
