What a F'in moron for not getting off his bike in the first place when he stopped. Also, when he saw the car coming for him, did he forget his bike could move forward?!

He was obviously escorting the ambulance, not closing the road, so didn't get off because as soon as the ambulance appeared a few seconds later he would have had to get back on the bike and continue to the next marking point

He didn't pull forwards because on average more people would pull into the outside lane than into a joining slip road when presented with an obstruction in their lane. Additionally there was a car coming up the outside of the yellow and black cars

****tard driver wasn't paying the slightest bit of attention, deserve to lose their license for a not insignificant time...

All that is quite right.BUT------Theres no way on Gods earth I would park a bike with me sitting on it in lane one of a motorway like that.We all know that the roads are full of retards who dont look where they are going,so why put yourself in that position?

Plonker of the highest order in my view. When escorting something like an ambulance all he needed to do was make sure it wasn't going to be help up and clearly given the traffic flow that wasn't going to happen. If the traffic had been heavy he should have stopped on the hatchings, got off his bike and used hand signals to fend traffic away into lane two so that the ambulance, escorted by his mates had a clear run on. He would then have played catch up and leapfrogged. If it had been a Cat A run where you don't want any traffic around the principal then they would have had a rolling road from the previous junction. Bet he had a bit of a headache afterwards though...
