Fitted my hugger today
Fitted my carbon effect hugger today, what a piece of urine that was :D.
I was bit unsure of these but now its on i like it. My mate polished it with his rotary polishing machine for me and it come up like glass. I have also ordered my hamicad tail tidy today so hopefully get that on next week. Anyway, heres a pic. http://i758.photobucket.com/albums/x...5/DSC_0137.jpg |
Re: Fitted my hugger today
Looks good, this is one of the first things i did to mine.
looks like you had better look with the botls than i did tho.... I got the same tail tidy too and it was simple enough to fit aswell.... Would have been easier if i knew how to get the little black plugs out of the fairing... Dave |
Re: Fitted my hugger today
Red Fox seem to make the best huggers.
The carbon effect is a bit cheesey, but the plain gloss black looks pants IMO. Dunno if you'll have the same problem on the pointy, but on my Curvy, with some tyres fitted, the clearance was very tight and stones picked up by the rubber could cause damage. |
Re: Fitted my hugger today
Huggers finish off the back of a bike nicely.
Carbon fibre sir? Chavtastic! ;) |

Dave, do you mean the black plugs from the swingarm? I used the original bolts tbh, they were shoulder bolts but the plastic on the hugger wasnt think enough so the shoulder was clamping to the swingarm without the hugger, but i got round that by putting a washer behind the hugger to make the whole thing thicker, the bolts then were fine. Took me about 10-15 mins start to finish, quite suprised as i was expecting a pain in the rear end. Phil |
