What kind of drinky places do you want? Traditional boozers, cool bars, gastropubs...? There's also the massive Winter Wonderland festival over the road in Hyde Park (ice skating, rides, lots of food and drink). Might sound 'touristy' but Zig went one year and said it was pretty good fun...? Clicky |

Dizzy - you're spoiled for choice with pubs/bars in London tbh, but happy to help with some suggestions if you let us know what you're looking for
Oh and that Winter Wonderland thing looks great Caz - think I might give it a go one evening after work to get in the Christmasy spirit. Which might also involve drinking some Christmas spirit  Funny that Spidey went before - he obviously isn't quite the hardened anti-Christmas-Scroogy-pants that he'd have us all believe... ;) |

Re: Visiting daa'aann saafff :-)
What type of pub do you like?
If you want an authentic Victorian gin palace, then try the Princess Louise in Holborn, which has recently been restored to its former glory. The loos there are famous. I was taking a pee in then gents there once when a whole bus load of female American tourists trooped in to take a look (at the architecture, not at me peeing). If you want to sample the finest ales, it has to be the tiny Jerusalem Tavern in Farringdon. For one of Londons oldest pubs visit the labyrinthine Old Cheshire Cheese in Fleet Street. |

Unfortunately you have missed the Soho incarnation of the Intrepid Fox, and I haven't tried it out in its new guise near Centre Point yet... |
