Tools for tappets
 

Looking to source a couple of tools for adjusting my tappets:

The top is a spanner to attach to a torque wrench for tightening the tappet down, the bottom is a 3mm square hole valve adjusting tool.

Tried all sorts of searches in ebay, but not getting results, guess I'm not using the correct words?

I know you can guess the torque and bodge a tool, but neither look like they should be very expensive if I can locate them

The first is called a "crow's foot" spanner. When using one with a torque wrench an offset calculation must be made.
The second is probably only referred to as a specific tool - by which I mean, as you say; a tappet adjusting spanner/wrench.

(For the first one search "crow's" and "crows", clearly the first one, with an apostrophe, is correct, but the second will get used too).

Wonderful, found plenty of results using crows foot.
As for the offset calculation, done some searching, the maths is boggling. However, many sites say that if the crows foot is used at 90 degress then any adjustment can be safely ignored. Hope thats true, think its only 10Nm anyway, and on previous bikes I've just guessed with no detriment :)

Search parallel axis theory, it's not that hard :-)

Maths there is not that bad if it is pointing straight forward(maximum) or at 90 degrees (no difference). Otherwise it is just a sin/cos term in there.

Glad to help! Re: Offset. It's true, at 90° you needn't fuss about it too much. But I thought it wise to mention it all the same.
