I've just met Princess Anne
 

...in my capacity as trustee of a local charity. She came to open the building where we have our new offices. I shook the gloved Royal hand, and she asked about my role with the charity. She was warm, friendly and relaxed, and clearly well briefed on the work we do. The Lord Lieutenant accompanied her, and was getting a bit agitated, but she was very happy talking to us, and was in no hurry to leave.
