New Years Eve/Day

I was wondering if anyone was planning to go for a ride on either of these days? I know some people are off to Wales for xmas, I was thinking of something along the same lines for New Year. I dont know good destinations in the area that well so if anyone has any bright ideas it would be good to get out and about :D

There is a run from The Queen Vic in Coalville every year, The Brass Monkey Run.
