Re: Changes to motorcycle test - filtering ability
havent checked out the link but surely cage drivers need to be taught to be more aware of bikes?? my sis been on a "speed awareness" course and one of the things mentioned is the ratio of bikes on roads to amount of accidents caused by "sorry mate i didnt see you"... she doesnt ride a motorbike and said its made her "think" ... i commute to work on road i can only describe as suicide lane for cyclists and bikers the amount of times i witness cage drivers who are more obsessed with fitting into a gap (even when there aint one) without checking if its safe baffles me.
more training for bikers??? yeah can only do us good... but how about the government doing something about teaching car drivers about us.. ? i have a short fuse :smt073when it comes too drivers doing stupid moronic things... i have the right to filter in traffic. one young guy in a ford focus thought it ok to ensure he got away from the lights before me... and riding over my foot (thanks sidi boots!!) in the process. i question my riding/filtering style but have come to the conclusion that its the ****s in cages who need to go back to school to learn how to drive and be more aware of other road users. |

Re: Changes to motorcycle test - filtering ability
i sorta agree with Suzukibabe about cage drivers also needing to be taught but i also see some careless filtering by bikers aswell so the arguement swings both ways, did have a nice cage driver this mornin saw me coming, knew he was too close to the other lane and moved over for me.
