Powdercoated

Just got the rear subframe back from Coatech in Carnoustie. Still warm from the oven  It was only £30

I asked about getting two tone wheels but they said the extra labour puts the price up from £50 per wheel to £100 per wheel. The other options are to get the base powdercoated in one colour then just paint the other bit. Or get it vinyl'd then lacquered. OR they can do two tone but instead of having clear lines between the two colours, they blend them together, which brings the price down to £70 per wheel. And the last option is to have one part polished and the other part painted or lacquered, but I'm not keen on that because I don't fancy polishing it all the time.

Nice!

Had a few bits from my Silver Curvy done in a similar colour. Good that you left bolts in the threads, as powder coat is a bugger to cleam out of the threads ifyou don't!

They actually put the bolts in for me :)

That's the sign of a good powder coating shop. Mine used bungs, which are good, so I just had to run a tap through to clean up a couple of threads.

Do you know what they charge for a whole frame?

Phil,
Give these guys a call or email them. I had my parts done here and they did a good job. Plus they're used to doing bike parts, so do mask off the important bits.

They tend to get busy this time of the year, so turn arround time can be a bit longer.

Not too far from the AR09 capsite, to give you an idea of how far from you

Cool thanks. Probably just a bit of a daydream at the moment but I'd like to fully restore one of my bikes at some point. Always good to have some contacts for pricing info etc.

I've just had my Footrest hangers, Footrests and grab rails done. All thougth the grab handles on the Gladie are plastic so they had to have 2pak put on. Cost me £75 for the lot.

The same people who did them also did the wheels on my SV1000 when i had it for £50 and like you they did my sub frame in black as well as my tail tidy for £30.
