Merry Christmas, I bring to you good cheer for big & small,
hope you have a wonderful time; peace & joy to you all.

To those of you that know me, I’ll think of you at this time,
to those of you that don’t; I hope you enjoy my rhyme.

A time of joy and wonder on the faces of those we hold so dear,
and perhaps for us the odd careless slumber; after dinner in a chair.

I hope you have a merry time; and enjoy this seasons good grace,
the fun and games of this festive time; put a smile upon your face.

Good wishes to all at this time; that’s what it’s all about,
So spread a little happiness and cheer; whenever you are out.

Be nice to your neighbours; to a stranger tip your hat,
Keep a cheery smile upon your face; and a welcome on your mat.

To all my friends; I thank you for everything you’ve said and done,
And although I may not say it; I truly feel the lucky one.

You’ve been there when I’ve needed; and added comforting light,
When things were shaded in darkness; you changed them to something bright.

And so I bit you all farewell and good tidings; from the end of 2009,
and hope to meet you all next year; somewhere, somehow, sometime.
