Back protector question
 

I have one already inside the HG all weather jacket but not sure how much good it is, but I don't have one inside my Hide Out Leather jacket or my Ixon lightweight jacket that I will be taking to Thailand. So I'm thinking perhaps I ought to buy one that I can wear with everything.

I'm very narrow across the shoulders and quite short in the body, a petite size 8, so any advice on brands that might cater for me? And I won't be offended if someone suggests a kiddy size.

forcefield knox both reputable they both do insert's i had a dainese insert that worked out well too.

If you can get a kids one to fit, go for it.
If I remember rightly, kids protective stuff comes VAT free :)

I use a knox one from HG, all of them are sized by the number of plates in them so you should get one to fit (even if it is a kids one).

Pop into your local HG and they can size you up for one and offer you advice based on what they can see when your trying one on.

LPH - if you're looking for one to put inside the pocket in your jacket you can't really beat the Knox one (I forget the name, as I'm at home at the moment not at my shop, but it's something like Advance X).

It comes in two sizes (actually, might be more than two, but I only stock the two smallest), both of which are not too broad at the shoulder and retail at £14.99 (much cheaper than many clothing manufacturers charge for their branded ones).

For a strap on BP, the Knox Kompact, in size small, is not too broad at the shoulder (I wear one myself and love it), it can be rolled up, and has vents in it. That retails at £69.99.

Forcefield for me. Spend a moment to get to know what's in the range. They do a variety of sizes from small kids up to large gorillas, and two protection levels (L2 is the better one). Also you can have a strap-on (fnarr) or an insert (3 shapes available) for a jacket. They also do all sorts of additional bits and bobs, arms/shoulders/knees, plus armoured clothing (for a price).

They are available on your favourite auction site, just enter "Forcefield" in the search, for example (no connection with the seller) here at random , including kids versions as well as proper shops.

Get the non-insert version.

It will then work with both of your jackets, and possibly more importantly, it is likely to be longer than the insert version, you will just have to tuck the tail of it into your trousers.
