Thumbs: Useful things.

Following a minor incident with an onion, a large Sabatier knife, a brief visit to Winchester A&E and an almost-but-not-quite severing of my left thumb tip :smt022 I do not expect to be riding my motorcycle to work this week.

AND I didn't finish making the lasagne.

Tricky things, those onions. Tricky.

Yes bloody useful things they be and you only notice how useful when you can use one right, right?

Perhaps you ought to invest in something like this

A few years back i did the same thing with a Stanley knife and a little finger!

But being a rock hard Geordie and not fancying a 20 mile drive to the A&E I sewed the bit back on myself with 4lb fishing line using my right hand and my teeth. :)

Have you ever seen neater sewing? (that'll be from my feminine side then!)

ST saving you the grief for next time. And you can pick up similar things at most pound shop type shops or the real deal JML ones from Robert Dyas or other shops like that. HTH :)

Sharp knives cut what they are supposed to, blunt knives cut you.

So does a moment of not paying attention. Just as well I don't work in the air traffic control industry.

Hang on a minute... I DO work in the air traffic control industry.

Except when my Mum accidentally turned the knife around and was pushing the sharp bit with her thumb this Christmas - thankfully it wasn't too sharp.
