Curvy signal generator anyone?

I'm after this to get my SV working again.

Hopefully someone on here has one!

I tihnk I sold my spare to nadinedebiene when her generator packed up. Why don't you PM her and get signal generator from her knackered genny? You will need to do bit of soldering.

If you want you can post me both and I will swap them for you

I will do, thanks for getting back to me. I've also been offered one by pm so have a couple of optiions.

Is there anyway of identifying which part is the faulty one, the signal generator or the generator coil bit?

One will cause you to have no spark, other one will mean your battery goes flat. Failure of either is pretty rare

So far no joy!

It's part "1" on this link if that helps?

Surely this can't be an SV specific part? Does anyone know if it is used on any other Suzukis?

The link doesn't work on that - it just links to the main page since you've got to navigate through it in the frames to get to the specific bit. If you're on about part 1 on the magneto page (the big coil of wires that you bolt into the alternator cover), I've got one knocking about in my garage from my lunched engine. Strictly speaking I've got an entire engine, so if it's not that bit, I can almost guarantee I've got it anyway.

Re: Curvy signal generator anyone?

That is the stator and it is the pulse generator AND the generator.
One tells the ignitor box when to fire the spark, the other charges the battery. Which is your problem?
