Main Headlights Stopped Working?

Riding along a dark unlit road last night thinking to myself these lights are pretty c*ap as you cant see much, then did and overtake and both my front healights just stopped working, checked the fuses and they all look fine, so im thinking it must be the wiring.

any ideas?

check the bulbs?
also i found when this happened to me the heat from the bulbs can mess up the connectors somtimes.

very weird just turned it on and both lights came on, gave it few revs and the when out again so im sure the bulbs must be fine. it must be wiring on a dodgy connection somewhere.

if it 's a pointy three connector under fuel tank near head stock cant rember if it the black connector or yellow either but on mine it was one of those connectos a wire had burnt out,

1 Attachment(s)
it wasnt noticable till i pulled the plug apart min's a k5 black frame , the plastic melts and causes resistance in the block i just sniped either side of connector and jointed back together think i have some pics not very good though all i lost was main beam and pass light. found pic like i said not real clever but gives you a idea might be slightly differen as mines a 1000 limited edition.

its black connector yellow wire it was slightly brown and when i pulled plug apart it had melted pic is half way through sorting it out.

if the connector block has gone the best option will be the crimp together with a bullet crimp (insulated crimps if possible).

i didnt have to do the full block just 1 wire snipped either side of bok and re connected shoul only take you about a hour.

Use a soldering iron and shrink wrap. The quickest way to get dodgey electrics is to start using insulated crimps and scotch blocks - they do the job for a bit but with the vibration you get on a bike they will eventually fail. Fine for a quick fix, but you may as well sort it properly long term if you can.
