Just emailed the ever bike-friendly North Wales Police to enquire about the bike safe course, been told its free for anyone who rides in north wales (whole bike population!). Got the first date i asked for in April too. They are also running what looks like a good FBoS-First Bike On Scene first aid course run by motorbike paramedics. I wonder what they will make of my exhaust!!!

They normaly turn a blind ear to that on a bike safe.
They didn't even mind when the women I was overtaking S**T herself and drove up the pavement and into the hedge.

I would be very interested in this if its for real. Not that i am doubting you mate but i was under the impression that it was for people living in wales only.

It's a bit scary rideing with a marked police bike behind you for an hour. Everyone thinks you're being chassed.
When you stop at the road side for a chat you can see everyone giving you dissaproveing looks because they think you've been pulled over.

Hello skeetly :D, yep spoke to Paul in the week, resident of North Wales, or also if you can prove that you work in North Wales regularly. Sun shining mate.... ;)

Same dates as me! See you there. I'll try and find the link with the details soon, although I work in north wales when I emailed them the return email stated and I quote
"I am happy to say that the free of charge BikeSafe workshops are extended to anybody who rides in North Wales. The spaces are limited and will be run on a first come first served basis."
On the back of this I emailed my cousin who works in B'head and lives in Ellesmere port, he emailed them and got on the course same dates as me. They have not asked for any proof of working or living in north wales. Link to follow.

It does state those who can provide evidence of working in north wales, but it said different in the email. Plus who's to say your not a mobile two wheel tooting hairdresser with a portfolio mostly in north wales!
