Final fantasy's
Well as probably everyone will know FFXIII (yes 13!) is coming out soon, I know that since 10 I have been a little disapointed, granted there has only been one proper one since then (XII, XI was the online game and im over with those MMORPG games eating my life endlessly) but anyway I digress.
12 just had too much happening and I just couldn't seem to follow the story right, I think they tried to put too much in the game! I don't think I even bothered to complete it... Got to the last bit but just wasn't bothered. i actually did that with 9 as well but I did enjoy that game, reason I didn't complete that was down to levels of characters and not being willing to spend the time levelling them all up, I did get Zidane to level 70 fighting dragons, the rest of them were about level 20... They would just keep getting killed and so would never gain exp. Anyway, im hoping that FFXIII is back to the standards of some of the amazing games they have made in the past. So for those of you that have played these games, what order would you put them in for enjoyment factor? Mine would be: FF7 FF8 = F10 FF9 FF12 Give some experiences you liked about each of them... Finishing note, who would love them to remake FF7 with some more back story and gorgeous modern GFX? I know I would!!!! |
Re: Final fantasy's
FF7 is really the only one I've played at any length, it's the only one that captured my imagination. I was absolutely hooked. Not perfect, mind, I found the world map very tedious with the constant random battles that were nothing to do with anything, but in terms of atmosphere and immersion it was incredible.
Haven't played any at all since 10, though. |

Re: Final fantasy's
I have only played FF7 and FF12. FF7 was the best for me. The characters and gameplay was great for me. I did the first disk so many times as people kept deleting my file!!! Grrr.
Managed to get my first disk time down to 3 hours without skipping any fights. Never managed to complete it though as I went to the finale too eagerly and couldn't defeat the boss. FF12 was great, the seamless gameplay was a nice addition but the story and characters never really got me. I am well looking forward to FF13 for the HDness of it. |
Re: Final fantasy's
my favourite was ff8 really connected with the characters and their story ff12 did nothing for me i didnt care about any of the characters couldnt follow the messed up storyline just a loss for me ive pre ordered ff13 collectors edition i reckon they'll get this one right its been in the works for ages so should be good hopefully.

Re: Final fantasy's
On FF7, I was sad enough to get almost 3 master material of every kind. I got a little fed up of trying to get knights of the round to 5 star for the 3rd time :(
My characters by the end were so hard that I could defeat the bosses with virtually no problems. Though that isnt as bad as a friend who maxed everything on FFX, he replaces all the sphere grid with all the best modifiers and got all their best weapons etc. Think he was close to 200 hours doing that!!! Tsh. I think I will certainly get FF13, directed by guy who made FF7 so it cant really (I hope) go far wrong at all :D I really enjoyed FF8 too. I think a lot of teen boys must have connected with squalls character. Kinda a kevin in a way :D |
