K&N Oil & Air filters
Hi,
Just want to ask if K&N filters make a big difference or any difference at all with the cost being alot higher than standard/factory fitted ones. cheers guy`s |
Re: K&N Oil & Air filters
They are reusable so cheaper if you do a lot of miles with them.
BMC is better for curvy. |
Re: K&N Oil & Air filters
as for the oil filter just stick to the standard one, its more than enough.
air filter is up to you, if you do need a new one then why not go for the k&n. |
Re: K&N Oil & Air filters
Any performance improvement from a K&N filter on an SV?

Re: K&N Oil & Air filters
i think they are good as ive never had to buy a OEM one since ive had the bike. way cheeper at £12 for a recharge kit that is good for 4-8 filter cleans. so well worth it

Re: K&N Oil & Air filters
No scientific evidence, just personal preference ..... I'd rather just replace each time with a new one, rather than cleaning, etc .... so I just go OEM (well, pattern ones off ebay :-))

Re: K&N Oil & Air filters
I defiantly felt a difference with the air filter, just everything seems to runs smoother and a little quicker. As with oil no idea but for the price on fleabay then you might as well internally its probably doing something of benifit. Remember to tell your insurers you've put the air filter in though as it can change your policy.

Re: K&N Oil & Air filters
Stuff like the K+N road for curvy is just a washable OEM replacement, not a modification just like using different road legal headlight bulbs is fine because it's a replacement consumable not a performance enhancement.
