Halvarssons Dino
Great gloves, kangaroo leather palms are amazing, same level of feel as wearing say surgical gloves.
They look great, the stitching appears to be of good quality, the leather is supple and they mold to your hand within an hour and feel like you've had them ages. Seems like they put serious effort into crash proofing these. The small wrist strap is concealed with a leather flap that they've taken the time to velcro to the top of it. The wrist area provides great support without being annoying. Lots of vents, bit nippy this time of year when it's not sunny. Not crashed in them yet. http://munhiekkis.fi/wp-content/uplo...ssons_dino.jpg |
Re: Halvarssons Dino
They look quite thick, are they? I'm looking for a new pair of gloves, but I only really get on with thin summer ones...

Re: Halvarssons Dino
Chunky around the wrist area and knuckle but you can hardly tell you're wearing them.

Re: Halvarssons Dino
How much were they Chris?
might invest in some of these ones next http://www.grandprixlegends.com/moto...ves-black.html They are a version of my 'Hill' summer ones but with the longer wrist. Crashed in them and they came out fine. As they have leather over the hard knuckles, just a tiny scuff mark is present now. Had the 'State' ones first, and they were great, until someone forgot to take them off the window ledge and they fell in the drain and got mucky washing up water on...euuuuugghh!! Even burnt them on my exhaust and they stayed water proof (after a little stitching to hide the burn) Can't beat Halvarssons gloves for comfort and durability. |
Re: Halvarssons Dino
Got the waterproof winter equivalents - brilliant. Only down side is the cuffs are a little small and get a bit draughty. They were circa £60 but I took advantage of a couple of discounts hideout-leather had so were a fair bit less, think they're called the 'good' gloves or something.

Re: Halvarssons Dino
I've been looking at the Dino's for a while, just not got round to actually trying them yet. Can't find anywhere close(ish) with a range of sizes in stock, and I need to try them for size first because I've no idea what'll fit!

I bought mine from hideout leather and they were really helpful, rang up and they talked me through measuring my hand properly and checked against the gloves they had in stock. I felt like a **** but got the right size. Ask for 10% off too. here's a link in favour of the brand http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcyc...y-grip-gloves/ Four minutes in a bucket of water and dry inside is reasonably impressive. I've had more expensive winter gloves go really heavy and then eventually seep through just from rainfall. |
Re: Halvarssons Dino
Ah in that case I may give Hideout a call, they were the cheapest I could find when I last looked as well.
I did plot all of the stockists (list from Halvarssons website) searchable by distance etc. Here's a static image of the stockists on Google Maps - the actual application is running locally so not publicly accessible. Oh and another good review here which I first got me seriously looking into them. |
