Senior moment today.. I'm only 30

So, had the CBR400 booked in for MOT and new tyres today pending the breadknife passing her test (she did the CBT today - good lass, well proud of her)

Set off just after 08:00, get less than 1/2 mile up the road on a fast bend and it conks out, great!!

Push it across the busy road to the side with a pavement so I can walk it back home. A bit peeved, it seemed to be working alright last night.

Do some work on the Black bird and other things, go to close the garage about 16:30 when I get this sinking feeling that I know what the problem was.. Walked over to the Baby Blade and sure enough, there it was, plain as day, staring me right in the face....

Yes Dave, I did note a lack of commitment to finding the "fault" when he said he fiddled with some Blackbird instead.:D

Test rode a h*rley once, just for a laugh, wit' mrs. Got about a mile from the dealership when it conked out. Then I ran the battery flat trying to restart it. Then I had to go into the nearby Toyota dealership to try to find the number of the Harley dealership, which they couldn't find. So after much faffing about, it was listed under "Eddy's" not "Eddy Wright"... Eventually they recovered us in a van.

By this point I'd already worked out that the fuel tap needed to be set to reserve... but by then the battery was flat... and the worst bit...

THE PHONE NUMBER WAS ON THE KEY FOB :-x

Summit you only do once.;)

Another one is when you fill up and forget to switch back from reserve to on..............stutter,stutter (in the middle of an overtake if you are particularly unlucky) reach down and ..."Feckin feck!" :smt013

Start pushin'!:p

Yeah there was deffo a lack of fault finding but I had loads of other stuff to get on with so didn't even start. Bloody stoopid old bikes with fuel taps....
