Bmw 325 se
Im looking at Getting one of these 2door.
Anyone got one? any tips on them? P.s. i know they drink the fuel:smt030 |
Re: Bmw 325 se
new shape? or last shape?
i only have a little 316 compact, but its quite heavy of petrol if your heavy with your right foot! oh and driving in snow and ice with it is rubbish! thanfully that all seems to be gone till next winter, but every journey in the snow was an adventure. but i've had no problems with mine, seems to have a fairly good build quality, no stupid rattles or squeeks or anything like that. really enjoy having it. plus the rear wheel drive is fun at times! as long as its been looked after and well maitained you should be fine. |

Re: Bmw 325 se
Im looking at a SE M Sport is a little too much
Kwak How much is it costing you in fuel? is it really that bad? im expecting 30 MPG |
Re: Bmw 325 se
i'd say 30mpg is achievable, but drive it a little bit 'briskly' and that will be down to 25 or lower i reckon. now i love my bmw as its just given me some good hassle free motoring.
the fuel consumption is starting to annoy me though, but thats really just due to the cost of petrol going up all the time. instead of being £50 to fill up like when i bought it a year ago, its now £60! now if you do a lot of miles a year it very quickly adds up. great cars, great fun to drive, but just make sure you can absorb the running costs. you going to take it to a BMW main dealer for servicing or do you know a decent specialist? what sort of tyres is it running, i wont be putting cheap budget tyres on mine unless i want to be in a hedge come winter! |
Re: Bmw 325 se
Its just had to front Tyres and two rear replaced back in Sept, Bridgstone. The problem is the car is miles away (up in NewCastle) i dont know if its worth the travel.
It's a lovely car by the looks of it, full leather cream interior with the 18" low millage and cheaper than anything down herewith more miles! (prolly cus its so far up north) |
Re: Bmw 325 se
iirc the main thing to check on any 3 series (i loved mine but it was blow up literally anyway in diversing) is head gasket they are known to go, also arch lips are prone to rusting, finally make sure the gearbox is sound cos there a git to change and fecking expencive
pure rwd fun id have another tomorrow if i could afford to run it hth |

The M sport model is a really nice car but id say a tad on the hard side if you like a comfortable ride, i also find altho its M sport its rather sparce in the extra equipment department where as the merc c class and the passat before that were fully loaded for less money. |
