Fixing up my bike

So far so good...

Bits needed:

new indie - got
bar end reground - done, looks as good as new
new bar end pin - got
new lever - got, aways wanted some Pazzos so now on order, but lever can probs be smoothed on a lathe
mirror housing - not got yet but hardly urgent
new T3 bung and engine bolt (M10??) and paddock bobbin - will get from T3
new brake lever - on order from Triumph
new tail unit - won on ebay yesterday

That leaves the fairing panel, it's not split, so am planning to have it repaired and resprayed.

And then I'll give the bike a really deep clean and it will look as good as new:smt041 - until I bin it next time:rolleyes:

Sounds like a reasonably priced result bearing in mind the saving on your N.C.B. and excess.

Just goes to show,

My tuono hardly looked sorry for itself and the repair bill was just under £2000 for the insurance.

All the best for getting it back on the road.

Don't hold your breath on the parts ordered from Triumph, they seem to be having some problems...

Pete ;)

Oh yeah, forgot that bit. It's not busted, just scraped, and it's not leaking. Will have to get a replacemrnt from Triumph as none on ebay that I can see and Woodcraft ones are just too expensive.

The tail unit was £57 - I pipped someone to the post at the last few seconds. I bet he was ****ed off.

A rear brake lever from Triumph is £58!!!!! Thieving gits. I didn't bid on an entire rearset on ebay (went for a total of £42 to include P&P) because I thought the lever - which is all I need - would be about £30.

Plus the new indies have arrived, as have my Pazzos!!!!! Not cheap but what things of great beauty they are:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool: They arrived in the office and Emma (biker gal - rides a GSXR1100 and has two Katana 650s) and I perved out over how exquisitely they're engineered, the others said 'oh it's a brake lever, so what' - well I guess some people will never understand:rolleyes: This to me is one of life's great mysteries - those that do and those that don't:lol:

And later I go over to fetch my tail piece:D

It's all coming together, so excited:cool::cool::cool:

Glad to see your fixing it yourself... always made sense to do that myself.

Write a little report on how your R&G performed and wing it off to them. I did and they sent me a new bar end, cotton reel, crash bung and bolt etc, and tailtidy for free.
