Mini Tour of your region (10.05-->)

Well im off into your neck of the woods for a week. Leaving about midday on the Monday with aiming to visit Poole on the tuesday, so looking at pitching up somewhere on the Dorset coastline on the Monday night. Tuesdays accomodation is booked, then i want to trundle off up to Cheddar, then down to Woolacombe. Then im open to suggestions. I was thinking of getting down to Lands end (as i have never been there)

So come you lot, let me knwo were to go, who to see, what to see, and the all important roads to ride.

Any recomendations on campsites as well would be good.

Come across from your neck via the a272, if your going to be at poole there is hundreds of camp sites local both in dorset and the new forest with close ride to the quay

We have a spare room it's all yours if you want it.

Nice campsite down by lands end at a place called Sennen cove if you make it down that far.

Viney -I did a tour of Devon/Cornwall a few years ago - A396 from Exeter up to Minehead is a nice bit of road.

We then took the coast road to Lands End (stopped at Newquay for chips/icecream), and came back along the south coast.

This is a nice place to stop along the north coast:-

The owner is a fruitcake, loves bikes, and only painted the place red/pink to annoy the locals :-) Pub just down the road which does good beer/cider, and good food.

I am and always will be a Dartmoor lass at heart, I love the wilderness of the place. All you need is a tent (and a bible) and you can pitch up pretty much anywhere you want, can't completely guarantee a quiet nights sleep though if you stray off the path!

If you are passing close to Weston Super Mare, Thursday the the sixth of May is the start of the Bike nights and occurs every Thursday after that (excluding the odd Thursday when the WI knitting circle are down there causign trouble and starting fights!), all money raised goes towards The Royal British Legion and it costs a single Pound to roll up and park your bike there. If you do come along, look out for Carol and I on our SV and CG125. I look so cool on my CG, it is an awesome bike!
