Chain and Sprooockets.

How the feck do you fit 'em?

I bought a set then realised I am totally incompetent.

Got the back wheel off then realised I clearly need some special tool to rivet the link!

Doh.

Dan you are a spanner!

some chains come with a split link you can use to get you to a dealer/mechanic for the to fit the rivet link. That's what I normally do

Yep, it has a linky thing in there. Cool. Yep, I am mechanically retarded. Mind you I did change my brake pads today. Woo. That took some doing, all the winter salt made it quite tough but I won in the end. There was some swearing and throwing of tools though! :p

Well get your chain fitted with the spring link and get it riveted by someone who knows what they're doing ;)

Mechanically retarded? that's putting it mildly ;)

and did you clean your calipers while you were changing the pads?

I threw a large spanner (no, not me) at the floor and it shattered (the spanner, not the floor). ;)I wouldn't mind but it was the Halfords expensive brand and they come from the same factory as Snap-On. Hmpf.

I'd take it back and ask for a replacement as it's obviously faulty to explode whilst you were just udoing a nut with it ;)
