Speedo reads wrongly.
Just got a speedo sensor off Ebay from a 2006 bike, (mines a K3 S). Now when I am doing around 70'ish the speedo is reading about 170mph. The sensor looks indentical to the one I took off.
Any ideas please, and yes the clocks are set to mph not kph. Tim |
Re: Aarrrgggggghhhh - Still No Speedo
If the speed is reading wrong throughout the range then I would suggest that the number of poles on a K6 speedo sensor is different to the number on a K3 sensor.
There is quite a lot of posts about this type of thing, so a search is in order If its just a top end thing then I have no idea |
Re: Aarrrgggggghhhh - Still No Speedo
Yeah speedo sensor is different K5> I think.

Re: Aarrrgggggghhhh - Still No Speedo
That would suggest that the stator is the same but the rotor is different. I have my original rotor, so I can try that.
Anybody know if this is correct? Thanks Tim. |
