Irregular chain stretch

Hi all, my chain has started stretchin irreguarly so as when i tighten it in one position to the correct tension if i spin the wheel it will be extremey tight in another. I know this is due to the sv's tourque and my holigan antics as this happened sevearly on my last chain. I was wondering if anyone could recomend me a strong chain, im currently using an x-type d.i.d gold one. Was wondering if chains off other more tourquey bikes could be fitted such as an sv thou chain. Any help on the matter would be much appreciated, thanks

Matt

Tight spot sounds about right.
Clean and relub well and it should help it.

Depending how many miles its done it could be on its way out or is it retentively new?

as said above, clean and relube will help, when my chain had about 10 tight links i cleaned it with parafin and also got two pliers and moved the tight links idvidualy untill the were free

Do you lube it properly? If not its not worth buying a stronger chain as it will go the same way.

+1 to the damn good clean, re-lube and checking for tight links. The SV isn't ludicrously torquey. but ragging and wheelies, and cr*p blipping if you haven't quite got that taped, do stress the chain. Tension it on the tightest spot, on the side-stand, or with a similar-sized mate sat on the bike and keep up with the cleaning and lubrication. If it is still bad maybe it's new chain time, look at the wear on the sprocket. This should wear out first, but doesn't always!

Best chain in the world won't last long if you don't look after it

Scooter chains? Sorry mate I'm a biker ;-)

On push bike chain I use EP80-90 gear oil (which is meant for hyvoid/spiral gears... this the oil you're on about?)

Exact one! Costs the same for a litre as 150ml of pushbike chain lube, so I've been using it for a few months. Seems to work, smells a bit more. Just thought I'd ask since you generally know what you're on about!
