And the cause of a whole day's faffing about, the spindle rusted so badly it fused to the casing bit and had to be drilled out  I love my boyfriend

I did, went on a couple of rides on it and YC was worrying about the front brakes on it, they're so worn and crap it's untrue...other stuff too though. So we found a better bike fairly locally and wahey, all is much better. The luxuries of having a rev counter, I'm finding it a great help with gearing :D

As for the knee, well that happened 2 seconds after trying out the YBR for the first time. Had to pull out of our drive (RH bend) and the clutch was unbelievably loose. I wasn't comfortable with it at all, and lo and behold I mess up the turn, bounce up the kerb and find a lampost swiftly heading in my direction. Ended up[ grabbing the front brake (mentally thinking i am NOT going to crunch into that lamppost) and stopped right in front of it, locking the front in the process and slowly dropping it. Just banged my knee in the process. It looks worse than it is though. I like bruises, they go pretty colours haha :-D

Oh now that suits much better than the CG :-)....naming it already??,
YC will be disappointed when you start doing the woman 'emotionally attached' thing :-)

As for the rust, I never thought I'd see anything on a bike rustier than Suzy's old shock.....that swingarms on a whole different level!!

Nice one, you suit that bike much better!

I'd imagine it feels a bit more stable too? You sit more in it rather than on top of it?

Wadaya mean 'woman'!? I'm a manly man (hurrrrr) and I love my bike to bits!

And YBR's are good little bikes, I passed my Mod 1 on one of them. Fun few days training blasting through the Surrey countryside on it. Fantastic little learner bike, and a lovely fart-in-the-bath exhaust. Hope she does you well and you have a long, happy time together!
